Quintessential treatment of complex cases at times necessitates a collaboration among multiple dental disciplines, with the objective of creating naturally attractive outcomes. Natural beauty is an expression of four fundamental dentofacial relationships, and satisfying results can be attained when these relationships are in balance. This presentation will discuss a very simple yet powerful means of evaluating every patient we treat, regardless of the discipline of dentistry that we practice.
The learning objectives of this course is
- define four fundamental relationships of facial composition
- identify when imbalances in these relationships exist, and develop appropriate solutions to bring about predictably satisfying treatment results
- list six sequential steps that an oral surgeon may apply in treatment planning complex cases where orthognathic surgery is a consideration
